Who should be the.........?

Question

Who should be the back-up goalie for the Detroit Red Wings this year???

McCollum?

Howard??

Larsson?

or Conklin??

or should they sign someone else?

I'm not a Red Wings fan, althogh the Wings do have one of my favorite ex-Badgers Rafalski. Howard is going to be a great goalie. But not yet. Conklin is a proven back up.

Conklin should be a good backup for them.  Another year in the AHL will help prepare Howard better for the big stage.  He might find himself there in case of injury or if Conklin struggles, but he needs more consistency.  Either keep Larsson in Sweden or bring him over to get his feet wet in the ECHL.  And give McCollum his final year with Guelph.  It'll be him and Unice going head to head, which will be awesome.
