Who should be the ref for Origin One, 2008?

Question

It's bound to be Tony Archer, but I think it should go to Shayne Hayne as he showed in game 2 last year that he can handle the pace of origin.

The only other one who will probably be considered is Hampstead, and he has performed terribly in Origin in the past, so that may rule him out.

All the other NRL refs I reckon are too inexperienced at this stage to get a look in - maybe next year.

I think Bill Harrigan should come back and do it he is still certifided to ref NRL games and I say he was and still is the best Ref he aloud the game to flow and did not get carried away with the whisle and stop every two minute with penatlies

Bring back Hollywood Bill Harrigan. He has been keeping in touch with his stint on Gladiators. He could start the game by saying Queenslanders ready, New South Wales Ready.

i would love to see harrigan back again but lets be real, he aint comming back this is a fast paced game, video referee for him,

i think archer can keep up, handle these big blokes and fully experienced, bring on origin!!

what about tony de la heras he has not had the spotlight on him for making the wrong decision he is consistent yes sure he is inexperienced but what about those other referees they have made way more and that was like in the last 12 mths

I reckon he would do a better job than any of them going around at this time.

Maybe Shane Hayne will get the nod but he seems to favour QLD.

hayne handle origin? It was like the 62nd minute when NSW got their first penlaty in Game 2. In my opinon all the refs going around are c**p. Bring that guy over from England to do origin Ashley Klein i think is his name.

Well as a referee for the game of champions (Rugby League), I know it will go to Tony Archer but Right now the best Whistle blower in the NRL is the man who did City vs Country. That's right Mr. Jarred Maxwell. Although he has not got a lot of experience he is the best at the moment bar none.
