Who should be the starting PF for the Houston Rockets 2008-2009 season?

I think Ron Artest should.

putting ron artest at the power forward gives an advantage to rockets in ball handling and speed, but would give up too much in height and strength on the defensive end. he should be a small forward with Tracy going to the 2 spot. Artest is strong but he's not a dominate rebounder or shot blocker, he can guard some power forwards for brief moments, switches and help defense, but he still give up to much and is better suited guarding the perimeter and in the post against players his size and smaller. If houston was a up-tempo running team and not so much a post play team it could work, but their offense isn't geared to that. Also Scola is doing a really good job and really turned it on during that stretch winning streak yao went down.

from a position side it should be scola but i think that now artest should start at Pf because most of the Pf in the west are undersized anyways but against teams like the celtics, lakers, and spurs who have big post up dominate pf you can afford to have an undersize pf so right now i think scola should start along with artest and put battier on the bench where he can get his minutes.

i dont think artest will play PF, he is a beast on defense, but he is a little undersize to guard like a davis west or chris bosh. thats shane battier job, cheap mans bruce bowen. scola is not even that good anyway, i would go with battier at PF, artest at SF and T Mac at SG

pg-alston( can be shaky at times

sg-either tmac or artest-depending on who they have to guard defensively. Tmac is more of a SF than SG as and he can't guard most SG. Artest is a more capable of guarding a SG.

SF-battier-there is no sense of him coming off of the bench, because artest ot tmac coming off gives the rockets bench gives them some offensive help when the starters are resting.

pf-scola can be productive but dissappears and becomes a rebounder when Yao is in the game.

C-Yao but they really need help

i beg to differ.

Artest will fit well with the Houston if he plays SF.

Why?

Because he's built is more of a Power forward yet he's as agile as any SF, making him a good defensive and offensive player.

Scola on the other hand is talll enough to play PF and sometimes C. The only prob is he's not really that strong and atheltic.

Ill still think Scola will really fit as a good PF.

Hey how bout carl landry? if Yao is back and healthy then maybe Carl Landry can slide from C to PF.

The lineup would be much more potent with him starting, then Shane Battier could stay at SF. However, I think they will start Luis Scola at the PF, and move Battier to the bench
