  1. If possible, look into trading the first pick there for another player and a high pick.

McFadden is the guy that is being drafted higher but I personally, don't see this as being true.

Stewart is a better back and should be walking into a better situation in CAR than DMC is in OAK. Stewart has done very well so far in training camp and should be at least a 50/50 RBBC with Williams and maybe even more.

DMC's style is not as suited to the NFL as his speed is good but his running style and especially his hit style tends to lead him to being an injury risk. He doesn't keep low when hit and doesn't twist or turn his body away from the direct hit. At the NFL level that is extremely dangerous. Plus, OAK just paid big bucks to Fargas to be the lead back and don't forget Russell and Walker. So they are looking to be able to throw the ball more....and there is this guy named Michael Bush who is going to be a huge goal line threat with this size and power.

CAR has issues with Delhomme coming back from Tommy John Surgery and Steve Smith being suspended for two games, so they will stick to the ground game more and with Williams as a co-op they both should stay healthy and get plenty of chances.

If you can trade out and Stewart is gone, look at Kevin Smith with DET, Matt Forte with CHI, Torain with DEN and Chris Johnson with TEN as possible options.

  2. Take a peak at Forte.  If you need a starter RB right away he is your guy.  He will start in Chi. and should do fairly decent.  McFadden is talented but will be injury prone and will get about 10-12 touches a game behind Fargas.  Stewart is a better pick then McFadden - he is both big and fast and will take over the starting job in Car. by about mid-season.  Good Luck!
