Who should make the phone call....???

~ I am not trying to be a cheapskate,,,but,,,,,ok,,,this is what it is.....my long distance phone carriers charges a toll charge,,,so if I was to call my dad,,,,it would cost 10 cents a min,,,,,,and then on top of that an extra $12.00 toll charge........My Dad has free long distance 24/7. I told him since he has free long distance,,,,,to please call me.............but it has been about 3 weeks and he hasnt called,,,,,,,I know my dad is probably thinking I dont care about him,,,,,but he has the free long distance,,,,,,,,,,,,is it wrong for me to ask for him to call,,,,,he has free long distance,,,,,,,,,or am I being cheap????

Could you drop him an e-mail? You could then ask him to give you a call. And explain the reasons why.

You need to get a CELL PHONE like everyone else in the world does!!!  Home phones are a waste of money....with a cell phone you can call anyone anywhere in the U.S. without extra long distance charges.  Plus if your son or daughter need to talk to you you are available...and if you break down you will have a reliable way to get help. Just try it....you won't regret it!!!!!!!

a $12 toll charge??? i highly doubt that, unless it is international, in which case your dad does not have free international calls, there is no such thing... at least not yet...

pick up the phone and call your dad, if you really do get a $12 charge you need to change long distance carriers...

you can also think about getting a magic jack, or use skype, or Y!voice to make your long distance calls, or just go to the corner store and get a phone card...
