I know gas prices are more in Europe, ex. England is almost twice as much as in the US but I also know that min wage in England is about twice as much as in the US. I hear that the value of the American dollar in Europe is a major factor in rising gas prices in the US because oil is sold in American Dollars. I love American and am blessed to be born here. I just don't trust any of the above and am thoroughly confused about what I can do to make things better. I have a child in the US Navy and one who works for the gov and the other in college. My husband lost his job over a year ago and is back in college retraining. Living off the 401K and still owe IRS....and get no gov assistance. The economy is beating us to death though... Just venting. God Bless.

  1. i would say be mad at the people who don't want us to drill just because it would hurt the stupid environment. WHO CARES ABOUT ALAKSA? omg.....it would be cheaper for us.......

anyway, i say we should all stop buying gas one day a week at the same time and see what happens

  2. one should be blame in the price of oil, as one buys more oil demand rises , dont like gas prices dont buy prices fall.

  3. OKAY friend, you got to understand that all those you mentioned above are all 'in bed' together.

companies on Wall Street, & Oil Companies & USA Gov are all in alliance in something known as the Military Industrial Complex.  You will need to study some of the written work of Chalmers Johnson to better understand what all this means.

It's very sad but true, those in Charge of the World are not trying to help YOU or help ME.  They are ONLY helping themselves.  They are getting RICH RICH RICH while you and I suffer creating a bigger and bigger gap between the wealthy billionaires and the rest of us.  It's the Haves and Have-nots.

Think about why is it that the electric car program was killed?

If you can fully answer that question, then you will see more of the truth of it all and it will make you sick if you don't believe in a higher power !

  4. Dear Mike

You should be made at past governments because they could have change policies about energy changing oil by others and they did not. They did not do because of the oil company interests which only want to take advent age of the earth and the people. It is easy and cheap to make holes and obtain money. Today we pay the consequences and governments only can manage consequences of decisions taking in the past.

  5. We should be mad because we have a liberal skunk trying to get into the White House.

  6. The easiest answer and certainly the most accurate one is that the greediness and corruption of people in power. Macheivelli said that 'power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely'. This is applied to perfection in our world and almost any official who has the ability to make personal profit, will do so. This causes everyone else to suffer, but then again, this is democracy.

  7. no idea, but im bettin bush is catchin flak for it.

then again, its on his desk.  The buck stops here.

  8. You can blame several things:

OPEC for not increasing supply and getting richer.

Speculators that are inflating market prices for no reason.

China for becoming a bigger consumer of oil and increasing demand.

Tree huggers for preventing the US from drilling in ANWaR and similar sites on US soil.

    there are many factors....

  9. there are two culprits.  the federal reserve, for cutting interest rates 3 points in the past year, devaluing the dollar by 50%.  if interest rates were the same as they were a year ago, oil would be 65 a barrel

also the democrats in congress have kept it illegal to drill for oil in too many parts of the country.  oil should be 30 a barrel right now
