  1. I don't know but after checking out the list of The Stones "Top 40" it isn't even listed.  I am quite surprised.


  2. My favorite ever version of that song was done by Del Shannon (easily the best rock 'n roller of the '60s).

    Other well known artists who did it are The Who, Ministry, Terence Trent D'Arby, Joe Cocker, and Social Distortion.

    Lesser known artists who did it are Cary August, CMH Steet, Pietasters, Los Rolling Bisdodians, Pale Dave, Pickin' On, Tiny Tot Players, Instrumental Orchestra, Rockabye Baby, Meano Yanan, Damills, Andrew Francis, Penatagon, John Batdorf, Queens Way Mersey, Stone Jazz, Gwen Hughes, Studio 99, Anakelly, and MikeGoston.

    To anyone who is surprised that the Stones version never made the Top 40, the reason is simple: It was never issued as a single!!
