Question:

Who stacks diaper coupons?

I live in san antonio and when I called target and babies r us, target said they only take one target and one manufac. coupon. They used to stack a lot more... When I used to go to babies r us they would take all the coupons you could give as long as they weren't expired of course. To be sure that was still the policy, I called and they said they would decide what they would take after I came in but they wouldn't give any coupons back if they scanned them and I then decided not to use them. Seems kinda shady to me... Anyone know who else stacks coupons. I've been saving all of my diaper coupons and now it seems no one stacks them anymore. :(

  1. I NEVER HEARD OF THEM STACKING DIAPER COUPONS..I KNOW THAT WALMART AND BABIES R US DO IT FOR FORMULA ..IF YOU FIND OUT THEN REPOST.. PLEASE!

  2. You can not stack coupons of any type.  They all say ONE PER PURCHASE, meaning one coupon total.  Occasionally store coupons do not have this restriction but they almost always do.

If a store is caught accepting more than one coupon per purchase than the manufacturer will not honour any of the coupons and the store will be out a tonne of money.

However the store can not keep coupons that the do not honour.

  3. After having kids, I switched to a Target Red Card.  Then stock up on diapers when I have both the manufacturers coupon, and the Red Card discount (10 %) day.  And they'll sometimes do the $5, or $10 Target gift card when you buy 2 packs.  Our Target is a super one with groceries too, so found having that Red Card Visa is more money saving to us with its rewards, versus other credit card reward programs.

  4. Well, if you used to have stores that used to stack coupons and won't anymore, then chalk it up to "good while it lasted".  Stacking is a big no-no these days.  Other than certain stores that still accept 1 manufacturer coupon and 1 store coupon (like Target, Babies R US and CVS), no store that I know of will accept more than 1 manufacturers coupon for the same product.

Now, as to your other question.  Employees of a store should know their own coupon policies and it is unfortunate that a lot of them do not.  If you cannot get a straight answer by speaking to someone who works there (and make sure you speak to a manager, cashiers are often not trained properly with regards to coupons), then you need to call the corporate office to ask what their coupon policy is.  If you can have them email you the policy, all the better.  If you feel that a certain store is not adhering to their policy, then call the corporate office while still at the store to clarify.

Just as a final note, your diaper coupons are not worthless now that you cannot find a store that stacks, you just have to be a smarter shopper to get the best deals.  Good Luck!
