The land of Palestine has been populated by the Arabs 5000 years ago. This has been long ago in history, from the time of the Canaanite Arabs who migrated from the Arabian Peninsula to Palestine (Canaan). Several nations came in and out of this land, but the Muslims/Arabs stayed. O.S. Edwards, a historian, quotes in his book: "According to the best authorities-on the results of the archaeo-, anthropo-, and ethno-logical research-- considerable proportion of the Palestinians whom we call Arabs have an ancestral domicile in Palestine going back without a break to centuries before the Children of Israel entered the country." Except for a century of Christian dominance during the crusades, Palestine remained under Muslim control; either Arab or Turkish, from the 7th to the 20th century. The Ottoman Empire ruled from 1517-1917/18. In 1906 the Zionist congress decided that the Jewish homeland should be Palestine after changing their first declaration in 1904, where they decided that a national home for Jews would be in Argentina. We all know the rest of history with the Belford declaration in 1917, the mandate for Palestine in 1922 that I will further discuss later on. These are simple facts that clearly points out the right of land for the Palestinian people long before 1917.

  1. (1.) The fourth son of Ham (Gen 10:6). His descendants were under a curse in consequence of the transgression of his father (Gen 9:22-27). His eldest son, Zidon, was the father of the Sidonians and Phoenicians. He had eleven sons, who were the founders of as many tribes (Gen 10:15-18).

(2.) The country which derived its name from the preceding. The name as first used by the Phoenicians denoted only the maritime plain on which Sidon was built. But in the time of Moses and Joshua it denoted the whole country to the west of the Jordan and the Dead Sea (Deut 11:30). In Jos 5:12 The LXX. read, "land of the Phoenicians," instead of "land of Canaan."

The name signifies "the lowlands," as distinguished from the land of Gilead on the east of Jordan, which was a mountainous district. The extent and boundaries of Canaan are fully set forth in different parts of Scripture (Gen 10:19; Gen 17:8; Num 13:29; Num 34:8).

  2. There was a Seventh Congress - Basle, 1905 and the next was the Eighth Congress - The Hague in 1907, there was no Congress in 1906.

Historians generally agree that the ancient Semitic peoples (Assyrians, Aramaeans, Canaanites (including the Phoenicians and Hebrews) and, later, the Arabs themselves) migrated into the area of the Fertile Crescent. Arab invasions came after successive crises of overpopulation in the Arabian Peninsula beginning in the third millennium BC and ending with the Muslim conquests of the 7th century AD. These peoples spoke languages based on similar linguistic structures, and the modern Semitic languages of Arabic, Hebrew, and Amharic (the language of Ethiopia) maintain important similarities.

Arab invasions came after Phoenicians and Hebrews

It's the BALFOUR Declaration (1917), not Belford Declaration.

    No case to answer

  3. All the WRITTEN RECORDS are in Hebrew and not in Arabic--if you want to find Arabic records, go to Saudi Arabia. That's the reason we here in Israel are so keen on archeology. Had the Dead Sea Scrolls been written in Arabic, I might accept the assertion that the Arabs migrated out of Saudi Arabia 3,500 years before the written record shows they did! There are ancient Moabite records written in ancient Hebrew alphabet mentioning "The House of [King] David of Judah," however, the word "Arab" DOESN'T APPEAR IN ANY WRITTEN RECORD OF CANAAN! The reason is because they had not as yet migrated from Saudi Arabia. Nobody is trying to be sarcastic--we are trying to be accurate!

  4. There was also immigration to the north from Egypt. Many Gazans have Egyptian blood. Gaza City is one of the most ancient cities on earth.

  5. Canaan in Arabic word means low land, describing the lands of canaan!

No one really knows the first tribe lived there, but they are certainly not the children of Israel as they claim. They stole the land from Canaan which is Arabic tribe, and made a kingdom there for a very short time! Before God made his promise come true, and kicked them out of the holy land....
