  1. I don't know what the GCSE is, but I lived in the Southwest for 6 years and seriously studied the history of that area.. so I'm sure I know more than anyone who merely studied for some class or course.. because when I talk to some school age kid, they don't even have a CLUE what I am talking about.

  4. I studied the American West at GCSE and I really enjoyed it. I went on to do A Level and now a degree in History and it's a nice topic to study if you want to continue history. It's a topic that they teach to you in a straightforward way, and they give you information very simply, which annoyed me. There's alot of different opinions and propaganda.

    I think you'd enjoy it though, as doing British history all the time gets a bit dull, so it's good to have a basic understanding of something different.
