Dan Gleebitz, the shadowy tycoon, suspects that this is true, which has infuriated him as he had plans to seduce Sophie so that he could more easily get Liechtenstein's agreement to the launch of Dan's 'Vaduz Fried Chicken' chain.

In retaliation, the insider rumour is that Danny boy is secretly buying large blocks of shares in 'Roribase', Rory's world wide chain of DIY superstores.

This rumor was part of a carefully orchestrated plot to ensnare and financially ruin Mr. Gleebitz. It has succeeded! While Gleebitz was bus buying Rory's stock at artificially inflated prices, Mr. Emerald, Baron Sligo, opened a chain of fast food restaurants in Liechtenstein effectively shutting Gleebitz's chicken out of the market.
