I take basics from a dvd that I got at sams clube, however I learn other martials arts so its not like I have trouble.  Just with some of the tings I wont mention.

Unless you meant "what kind of people take karate?"

In which case a lot of people do, of all walks of life.  In my school there is a baker, a dentist, a security guard, a science professor, a pizza delivery guy, a graphic designer, college students, a computer technician, office workers, scores of kids, house wives, etc...  There's really no way to tell who trains in karate.
