  2. They have cameras mounted on top of vehicles and hire people to drive around certain routes ie., Google.

  3. Google has hired a company which has several vehicles which are equiped with a rooftop rig that takes pictures all the way around at specific distances and records the GPS readings at very good accuracies with each picture.
