After the upset over Michigan last year, I "think" they have a chance to really show their power if they beat the defending champs... Just let me know what you think and don't get at me on a bad level... I do like LSU, but i don't think they will win this match up.

  1. Probably not...

I think its ironic how Michigan got ripped on for scheduling a "cupcake" last year, but its ok for LSU, a "great SEC team" to schedule them.

  2. I've seen this question sooo many times. It's 4am and I'm sitting here waiting for the gates to open so that in 7 hours I can give everyone a huuuuuuuge I TOLD YOU SO.

Armanti Edwards is amazing. But the Tigers have them beat at every other position. This is going to be a great way to start my day.

  3. Not a chance of beating LSU maybe if App.St had not beat Michigan they would take them a little less serious.

  4. I would love for it to happen but man, the SEC isn't like the Big 10.  The Big 10 is football's biggest joke but the SEC is too tough.  I live in NC and think that App St is the second best statewide program next to Wake, but that is a tall task to beat LSU.  I would love to see App State lay the smack down on them but it won't happen.  The SEC doesn't lose games like that.

  5. Michigan didn't start the season as well as they should have and they over-looked Appalachian State.  With that being said this game will be a blow-out by the 2nd half.  I think App State should take a lot of pride in being a second division power but this level of play and with the game being played at LSU they will be very hard pressed to compete for more than 2 quarters.  I think the final score will be 42 - 14.  Best of luck to them!

Les S U will try to make a strong statement in winning this game so watch out!

  6. Lightning won't strike twice this time.LSU is gonna have their way!!

  7. Not going to happen.  Maybe 42-10.

  8. I love how the analysts say LSU has no QB. I've seen both Hatch and Lee play in the spring game and they looked pretty sharp. Hatch was a walk on transfer, just making the team shows he has what it takes. Lee and Jefferson were both very highly sought after recruits coming out of highschool. Hatch and Lee have not played, but they both have a year under Crowton's system already. All it will take for the QB is to be smart and not try to force things. There are 2 crystal trophies in the last few years that were won by smart QBs, not talented thugs like the one who just got kicked off the team.

I think App St will do okay in the first half and maybe even look like they have a chance, but the speed, size, and talent of the Tigers will wear them down and likely make it very lopsided in the second half. This is not a Big 10 cupcake, it is a very loaded team. Don't get me wrong, I think App St is a good team and have a good QB, but they will have their hands full with this defense so don't expect a lot of points like UM allowed.

And for all those who said the Tigers were in bad shape when they kicked Ryan Thugaleiux off the team.....how did he do in his debut? LOL

**If any of you App St fans are here in Baton Rouge.....have fun and good luck. You will love Tiger style tailgating...the food and people are great! After the game, run like h**l back to NC or Hurricane Gustav will get you :) Be safe.

  9. Everything came together perfectly for App St. last year.

LSU on the other hand has a better defense than last year, a better O-line than last year and a better running game than last year.  Their only question mark is at QB.  Granted that's an important position, but it should not be a factor for them until they face Auburn in week 4.

LSU is just too powerful for App St.

Prediction:  LSU 45  App St. 0

  10. No way, they are on the map now as upset alert team just like Louisiana Monroe is after throttling alabama in tuscaloosa

  11. I suspect last year's upset of Michigan has not gone unnoticed in Baton Rouge. Even without a QB, the Tigers will be too much.

  12. I'd like their chances a lot better if they hadn't beaten Michigan last year. As the first answerer noted, LSU will not treat this game like a spring scrimmage (nor should they). I think the Tigers will win.
