Chelsea just throw out money cause they have it which is Dumb i mean to me Deco was a good buy but look at Shevchenko, Wright-Phillips who both do little and nothing why don't they buy players like Van Der Vart look at how affordable be was and he plays so well

Chelsea needs to also startin investing in solid youth players to secure their future to be it seems all they are focusing on is to buy big players and spend lots of money in the hope that they will win in Europe meaning the Champions League but i mean that is a no Guarantee Arsenal after all these years are still waiting.

I would hardly call Shevchenko rubbish.  He has been a world class striker for a decade, but it just seems he wasn't suited to the English game, or to Chelsea's style of play.

cos they spent a lot of money on players they think can win them the title, maybe it would work, but money cannot buy success all the time, luck and the thirst for more success and challenge should be there if any club wanna win any kinda title..

they buy players and doesnt make them play.what good is it..may it be on a free transfer or not..i hate their management..buying players and not letting them play for a season and the very next season sell them or loan them out to a club u never heard about?..that's chelsea..

now they want kaka and robinho..and that means either ,anelka or drogba or cole or malouda leaving the club..just hate their management!

i think they do waste money but they get it right with their purchases more often than not and as a man united fan i hate to admit it but theyre becoming one of the best teams in the world.  not completely though eh (champions league final)

I am a CFC supporter and yes they have made transfer mistakes like every other club. Its just that chelsea go for high profile players that cost more money so those mistakes are more noticable. Shevchenco was worth the money paid for him to the right club. He just does not fit in to chelsea style of play! so you are right they did waste money, but it went back into football, except for agents fee's!
