Who thinks Dan Haren can make a run at Cy Young?

he can but i doubt it, last year he went on a slump, he split hes wins and losses after the all star break

also there is better pitchers like Lincecum and Aaron Cook

i think he's definitely got a good shot, but there's a lot of competition right now in the nl...brandon webb, edinson volquez, and tim lincecum all have excellent cases of their own for the award, but haren has to be in consideration for sure right now

Not a chance.  Tim Lincecum is putting up way better numbers then Haren and he does it with no run support on a c**p Giants team.  I mean seriously 10 wins already with that awful lineup, that really says a lot for a pitcher.  Not to mention he'd still have to beat out some other pitchers having good seasons : Brandon Webb, Edison Volquez, Ben Sheets, Carlos Zambrano and Ryan Dempster.  I personally think it would be 1 of the guys off of my list before Dan Haren, he's not even the best pitcher on his own team.

If the award goes to the best pitcher, my money is on Tim Lincecum.  If it goes to the best pitcher from a winning team I'd put my money on Brandon Webb (even though the Dbacks aren't doing a whole lot of winning).

if he keeps his stats the way they are and get to 20 wins, then i think he has an excellent shot at it. but it also depends on what volquez does in his second half. i think haren will probably take it though. if you look at recent history, you would notice that the cy young usually goes to a winning team. all of the cy young awards have been given to a pitcher of a winning team for the past five years. so right now he's not the frontrunner, but i think he'll win it at the end.

He has a good shot at it if he keeps it up...Edinson Volquez probably wont keep up but his teammate Brandon Webb has a great chance also...Itd be nice to see a Cy Young race coming towards the end of the race.
