Who thinks Granato is the right choice for the Avs??

Seems kind of wierd to me. Was this their plan all along when they demoted him???

No, I don't like this at all. Granato was in charge of the power play this past season, and it was 29th in the NHL. Him being the head coach won't change much I think. The Avs needed a change, they needed a shake-up, something fresh. Not the same old guy who has been there for like, forever, and was head coach once before. Granato was the guy who butchered the Kariya/Selanne acquisitions (although, both those guys were injured pretty much the entire time, but we still had a boatload of talent and didn't even win the division). I didn't want Granato. Oh well, I suppose it's the players that make the team. We'll see how this plays out.

I'm not in favor of it.  He hasn't shown anything in the time he was demoted back to assistant coach that makes me think he's ready for another run at head coach.  And with all the talented head coaches that are available right now, this just doesn't make sense.  The only thing I can figure is that he was a cost-savings selection.
