Who thinks I can carry a moped up a staircase?

Question

Do you think I will be able to carry a mopoed/scooter up a normal staircase (about 13-14 steps) for security reasons overnight. Serious question... i'm a normal guy not some muscle freak.

Lol, if its a big 250cc touring moped I say no, a little 49cc yes. Dude start it and give it gas up the stairs, it should work. Oh, make sure you shotgun 5 beers prior to doing this so it will be funnier when I see it on YouTube.

Most of the men I know can lift 70 pounds up and down a staircase several times before being winded. That's the weight limit for mail- and what one has be be able  to lift if you work at the post office. My mail carriers aren't that dang big- and several of them are women. So, the question is- how much does the moped weigh?

you didn't give a whole lot of info on the moped as far as weight goes.  if this is a lighter model moped, you may be able to hike up them 13 to 14 steps.  but after a few days of hiking the staircase you might  find it isn't worth the effort.  remember, what goes up...must come down!  there are plenty of ways to secure a moped.  get some good theft insurance; go to your nearest motorcycle shop and see what they have to offer.   besides....have you ever thought about the liability on you if you should accidentally drop the moped while ascending or descending the stairs?  a lock and chain is a much cheaper and better solution.  good luck!

What is the make/model of the scooter? There are scooters that weigh in around 170-190 lbs, so you might want to think about other security instead.  A good solid chain and a good lock around a tree of pillar might be a safer and less heafty way to secure it.

I think you can carry a moped.  Scooter -- depends on which scooter;  there are scooters that weigh hundreds of pounds.
