Who thinks Los Angeles should have a better transportation system composed of more Rail Lines and Transitways?

I would take public transport in a second if it were reasonable and went places I actually want to go.  It's taking freaking forever for them to build a line to Little Tokyo.  What about a line to the beach?!!

Or the airport?  Disneyland?  Destinations. I'm not going to take the metro and then take 2 buses.

A few years back, there was a trolley line running all over downtown Long Beach, and from there it ran up to L.A.

I guess they died out because gas was only 25 cents a gallon and cars were cheap too.

I bought my first car, a 1949 Chevy coupe, for $35.00. It ran good for many years.

I think all major cities should have a good mass transit system.  A train system and bus system.  If they are clean, affordable, with good stop locations, more people will use them and leave their cars at home.  Public transit shouldn't just be for people who can't afford a car.

Yes, it would be great.  They are working on the Expo Line right now, and the "Subway to the Sea" might start in a few years.
