Magic Johnson was a great basketball player and my favorite of all time.  It was incredible to watch him play - his competitiveness and love for the game were tremendous. I wish all NBA players had that attitude. He would do whatever it took to win.

His understanding of the game and his control of the floor was something special. Ultimately basketball is a team game, and Magic was the perfect facilitator - he made everyone around him better.

With all due respect to John Stockton and Oscar Robertson, I think Magic was the greatest NBA point guard of all time.

A 6'9" point guard who can handle the rock like the little guys, but with the size to post up and rebound against the big guys.  Plus the ability to make the craziest passes and assists like he was playing in a streetball game!  Many "tall point guards" have been tagged "the next Magic Johnson", such as Billy Owens, Lamar Odom, and more recently rookie Sun Yue of the Lakers has gotten the tag.  Many have tried to be the next Magic, but none has come close to the original.  Magic is the best!

even if he retired early due to aids he still is the best point guard alltime..and i remember when he was still voted in the 1992 allstar game after he retired then sill played and led the West to a 153–113 win and was crowned All-Star MVP..one of the moments great moments in the nba..
