  1. I highly doubt it but I am never shocked by what he does...my guess is the Mets pick him up though...Omar is in love with Manny and I could see him paying Manny what he wants to open up the new ballpark.

  2. No, he won't cut his hair.  I think he'll go to the Mets

  3. I would love that as long as we can dump Pierre and Jones somewhere. I read that Manny said he's already had a 150 million dollar contract and he doesn't care about the money as much as being happy and he seems happy on the Dodgers. But of course he is Manny so don't be fooled. But then again we are losing most of our vets this year and next like Penny, Lowe, Kent, Furcal, Saito. So we are gonna need to have some money to replace those guys. If we can get Manny at a decent price I would love to have him.

  4. I wouldn't put it past him. from what i hear, he has been getting a lot of good homers for LA. and i'm sure he appreciates playing for head coach joe torre. i just hope he doesn't resign with the red sox!!

  5. I think its quite possible.

  6. i think the dodgers will re-sign him for another 3 yrs max and see how that goes. dont be fooled about the Dodgers not having money, they have plenty of it, they are the 4th richest franchise in baseball behind Boston, Yankees & Angels. so they have plenty of money to re-sign him its just a matter of coming to an agreement that will make manny happy. but i also believe they have to get rid of Jones, Pierre, Broxton, Sweeney, Nomar, Berroa, Kent, and start getting some solid but young players, not a bunch of old farts like the Dodgers like to do. Thats the Dodgers problem, they pick up Former Allstars that are breaking down and that hurts the ball club. And even if they did re-sign Manny...he cant do it alone.

  7. Who thinks the Dodgers have more money than the Yankees?

  8. idk, i have a bad feeling that the yankees will make a run at him but i hope not

  9. The chance of Manny coming back for another season is slim. His initial asking price is too high ($100 million, 4 years) for his age (36) and the Dodgers might not bulge for his demand. His agent, Scott Boras, is likely going to orchestrate for Manny since he didn't get a penny out of the Ramirez deal back in 2001, when Manny did it by himself. Boras has rub the wrong way for the Dodgers (Chan Ho Park, J.D. Drew, and possibly Derek Lowe) and Ramirez is no different than the other. Besides, the Dodgers have other issues to deal with before Ramirez this offseason.

  10. I don't think it'll happen.  The Dodgers don't have that much money free, especially with the money they've sunk into Andruw Jones.  I think Manny'll be heading back to a big money team in the AL in 2009.
