Honestly, McCain has so many options for VP and he goes with the Governor of Alaska....I think he only picked her not because of what she can or can't do but because of the image she portrays....she's the mother of 5, the youngest of which has down syndrome, and the oldest in listed in the service on 9/11 (of all days) Her husband is still in the union she used to be on....I just want to know what everyone Else's opinion is....I haven't yet decided who I'm going to vote for but at this point I feel like this is all just strategy and he's not really going to utilize her if he does win.

  1. I don't think McCain is a better choice than Mr.  Obama.

  2. She is definatley a good pick.  The reason the GOP and the Dems are freaking out about her is because shes a relative unknown.  I've read her bio.  She took on her own state government and her coworkers when they were breaking the law.  She has guts, and I really like her.  The only down side is that she doesn't have any foreign policy experiance and that is John McCains big thing.  Seems a little strange.  Even though she is an unknown, I like her, shes a true Republican and a true supporter of ethics reformation.  She can get the job of VP done.

  3. ok seriously, the obama/biden ticket now has more experience than the mccain/palin ticket, and that has been mccain's main attack strategy against obama. its awefully hypoctical. then again, thats not really a suprise with a politician like mcbush

  4. i think your question answers itself. she is a great pick to bring america back on its feet. a true american with great values and an image to appeal to all people not just women. Right on America and it shows Mccain is leading away from goverment order as Obamas pick with Biden shows he is selling out to bilderbergers and NWO democratic delegates.

  5. i try to stay out of politics here but no way was i voting for mccain before, and i'm sure as h**l not voting for him now. palin is for just about everything that i'm against.

  6. I do not know a lot about her, but pro-life, lifetime member of the NRA and a history of fighting corruption and pork spending is enough to have me interested in her. I am sure we will learn a lot more about her in the future and as a person who will not vote Obama and was strongly considering voting third party, she may very well be enough for McCain to get my vote/

  7. I say wait until November -- I hatdly can

  8. If eight years can't spell it out for you or O's speech last night

didn't help- McCain's 70 something, and picked a highly inexperienced person for the job.

Someone none of us are familiar with - his choice may have been a wonderful one before our rep. abroad was tarnished, we're at war with Iraq (why?), and OBL is at large, and need we mention gas prices, home values and jobs.

It's time for change. Eight is enough - (years)

I thought Obama's speech showed he is capable of being a world leader. Refreshing to have someone speak so diligently and doesn't believe the middle class is roughly $5 million -

    Change -

  9. Oh,let's see: pick a woman to try to grab some angry Hillary voters, check

Pick an NRA member to try to grab some conservatives, check

Pick a Mom of a soldier to try to quiet some of the military families who are wondering about this "stay in Iraq for 100 years" c**p, check

Pick someone with absolutely NO experience in national, never mind international, politics....maybe just a bit desperate?

This was pathetic.   As a hockey mom myself, I bet I'd enjoy having a pizza with her at the rink, but "leader of the free world"? Puh...leeeze

  10. I think it's great he picked her, in fact he has a woman running his campaign and another woman as his chief economic advisor.  It's a milestone for women in America.

I still wouldn't vote for him because I don't think the US can afford to have another Republican agenda.  It just means the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and MORE WAR.

  11. i agree with you totally!! i mentioned in another question i responded to, that it almost seems that Palin is a prop in his campaign to get more media coverage.

  12. This is a classic intelligent shrewd move on his part. Literally slams the door on Obama. Forward thinking. I was undecided, until the Dems picked Biden. What's Obama been saying? He'll change the way DC does business. He has been talking out of both sides of his mouth, aka the Clintons.

McCain had my vote before he announced her for VP.

  13. I think that she is a pretty smart woman who has very Conservative ideals.. but you cant look past the fact that McCain is trying to reel in some of the Clinton voters. It may just be publicity, but then you never can tell with politics.
