She should've won that tiebreaker against that underage Chinese girl.

  1. ...and who wants to give her the shaft?

  2. Nope. Nastia was not the one shafted in the UB.

That was Beth Tweddle. Her A score should not have been so close to Liukins when Liukins was almost vacant of variety and release elements.

They were handing 7.7 difficulty scores out like candy to pirouettes and handstands.

Nope, Nastia got exactly what she deserved for submitting a routine that was stacked with the exact same element over and over and over to build up the A score without adding any variety or aesthetics.

  3. You make it sound like it was decided after the event.

In the event of a tie on the first two scores everyone (apart from the USA it seems) were aware that the dropped scores would be used.

  4. Yes she was shafted but the chinese officials have been doing that to many of the athletes throughout the games.

  5. the best thing that could've been done was given both of the girls gold medals.

  6. I think so.

The top score and the bottom score were removed from both of the competitors' scores, which resulted in a tie. To break the tie, they removed the lowest score from each competitor which meant that the person with the lowest low score would become the winner, which, by definition, is the "shaft".

  7. I think the tie breaking procedure is just silly. Judging gymnastics is not an exact science.  When total scores are the same, they should simply award two medals of the same category.  To go into complicated procedures and pretend that the slight differences in judging actually mean something and should determine the difference between gold and silver is absurd.

  8. It should have never gone to the tie breaker, Luikin had fewer s***w ups.  But it ended up in a tie and she lost the tie breaker fairly according to the rules.  And quit with the underage c**p, underage or not, they are there.  The US has no other option but to go out and beat them, just like everyone else does in Gymnastics

  9. Something is very fishy about this whole thing and from the very start... and I would be saying this EVEN if I weren't from the US...

  10. They both did a great job and they both should have gotten the gold medal.Nastia definitely got robbed of the gold. The sad thing about it is that they can't prove that He Kexin is under aged.
