There is a part in that video which says 100% pure welcome, but I have to disagree because I love picking up tourists when they are hitch hiking. They are so interesting.

Having spent a month on each island I would say that they both have alot to offer.  The people are friendly, the scenery beautiful and the opportunity to see the wildlife is spectacular.  Well worth a visit

New Zealand is great i come from the naki and the scenery is awesome i miss it. the poeple are friendly!! and generally 100% welcoming. If you love picking up hitch hikers and are very welcoming why do you disagree?

Edit -  Im a bit of a traitor i live in Sydney now. I have been to taihape several times great little town. I dont know about the tourist thing i think most kiwis are great, but alot of the jafas are a bit intolerant of anything that slows them down. most small town ppl love to meet new ppl and learn about different cultures.

Since my great grandmother came to the US from there, I have always been interested in NZ. These videos are the most I've seen of it and I thank you for drawing attention to them. It looks beautiful, I'd love to visit.
