I am personally not buying anything made by Anheuser Busch.

  1. Yuengling's not that big. Sam Adams is the biggest at the moment, though I too would like Dogfish Head to take over. They make delicious beers.

  2. As Americas' oldest operating brewery that would be appropriate. Although, I do enjoy other beers/breweries better. I must mail-order Dogfish Head beers. I know the great rep. but I am sorely lacking in a taste as of yet.

We must be careful what we hope for. The big Monters will eat them up if we-they are not careful.  I was reminded of the recent merger/hostile take-over of A-B by InBev today when I watched the movie Cloverfield. The monster of course is InBev. lol

    Props to Sierra Nevada.

  3. Sam Adams is now the largest American brewery because of the by outs. They went from 2-3% of the industry to the biggest. Weird how stuff changes when people are bought out.

  4. I'd rather see Dogfish Head become the biggest. They already distribute to more states.

    EDIT:

PBR is the largest American owned brewery. Not Sam's, not Yuengling of any other.

I must admit, this makes me happy. Pabst is my dirty little secret love affair.

  5. Yuengling will never become the biggest because historically they've had more than enough chances yet they refuse to move their product out of the region.  Personally I think they're content with their business and it's part of the brand's overall charm.  Much like the Mayor I'd much rather see breweries like Dogfish Head give the big guys a run for their money.
