  1. NO i don't think Amir Khan is overrated, anyone who wins a silver medal at seventeen at the Olympics has got to be a bit special

  2. Me.

His record in professional fights is irrelevant (as unfortunately it often is in this arena). Boxing is set up to create revenue for the promoters, first and foremost. Amir will be found out when he meets a fighter of true class (as he was in the Olympics, remember?). Although this is a good arena, it does not mean that much in the professional world - just look at Audley Harrison!!

  3. Completely Over rated...

Just look at Prince Naseem Hamid now...

Same hype as Khan and look at him now... about 16 stone and not boxing...plus been in prison

  4. No hes not overated possibly overexposed. Had Khan not won a medal in the Olympics he would no way be such a big name at this stage in his career. Generally to get one of your fights shown on terrestrial tv you have to be a world champ, Khan has had all of his fights shown on tv and has only just recently picked up a decent domestic title. This sort of exposure may make you good money early on but i dont think it is always the best thing for a fighters career, prime example Audley Harrison. Many people say Khan fights nobodys but his recent opponents have been good. Also check out any big name successful fighters career record and see who they were fighting age 21, most probably lesser fighters than Khan is fighting right now.

  5. Amir Khan is Audley Harrison mark 2,its only a mtter of time before he and that ******** Warren(he of the Al Capone suit!)are exposed as large scale fraudsters, conning a desperate British public into believing this guy is some sleeping colossus waiting to take the world on,absolute nonsense, as usual typical of the mugs he gets to try and fool a gullible British public!

  6. You can only compare boxers with their peers. Amir Khan has fought many times and won. It is only when he comes up against the best in his generation that we will be able to assess his pedigree. I enjoy his fights and he gives his best always.

  7. why

as far as i'm concerned he is a young fighter moving up the ranks as he wins fights, if he had been put straight in at a world champ fight then yes but he is only doing what every other boxer is trying to do.

    overrated - no

    overhyped - yes

  8. I'm not sure. I mean, true his fights aren't that great to watch, but just look at his w/l record

  9. his competition is steadily increasing, so in a year or so, we will know for sure.

  10. It is early days yet - his management have been very careful choosing his opponents and building him up gradually. He is still young and lacking judgement ( as has been shown by his car driving exploits) - so the best is probably yet to come - let's hope so.

  11. I think he is very over rated beacause he hasn't had a fight with any big name people for his weight class!
