i think that with the strike force of agbonlahor and carew, with barry and young supplying, a solid defence and good goalkeeper in brad friedel, villa stand a chance in getting into the champions league.

your thoughts?

also, how will the top 6 pan out?

i think

1 - Manchester Utd

2 - Chelsea

3 - Liverpool

4 - Aston Villa

5 - Arsenal

6 - Tottenham Hotspur

  1. I think they could if they were lucky with injuries like last season. Not enough depth really. If Young or Gabby wree injured...

    1. Man U

    2. Chelsea

    3. Liverpool

    4. Arsenal

    5 Aston Villa

    6. Pompey

    7. Everton

    8. Newsastle

    9. Tottenham

That has changed since this time last week. So hard to pick yet.

  2. I love to see Liverpool in someones Top 3...but can i get a spot 2.

Villa will be a pain in the tooch for the 3-6 spots. Top Spot....doubtful

  3. I think the only chance of this happening is if one of the current top 4 were to fall under expectation in the season.

Aston Villa is a very good team but they are not that deep to handle the grueling 38 game season, especially when fatigue comes into play towards the end. I think they should finish with at least a UEFA Cup spot.

I would keep an eye on them because they will be an exciting team to watch this season.

  4. COULD HAPPEN

    I think probably

    1 MAN UTD

    2 CHELSEA

    3ARSENAL

    4LIVERPOOL

    5SPURS

    6VILLA

  5. Yes it is possible.  I hope so.

  6. Is possible if they play good.

  7. they are an excellent team but it is still expected that the big four will come good again. i reckon chelsea will win the league, man utd 2nd, arsenal 3rd, liverpool 4th, then tottenham or villa for 5th. they have a great attack and great pace, but i think u will probably lose barry sometime soon

  8. Sure they are creative enough and good in attack, but I disagree about their defence being solid. How many times have they managed to keep a clean sheet? Hardly ever. And with Bouma out for the majority of the season they look even more thin at the back. They also don't have enough depth in their squad and I could see them falling away later in the season, esp. if Agbonlahor or Young got injured for any length of time. They should be able to get a uefa cup spot though.

I would still rate Portsmouth to finish above them as their defence is usually very solid, with the game against Chelsea being the exception.

My top six would be -

    Chelsea

    Man Utd

    Liverpool

    Arsenal

    Portsmouth

    Aston Villa

  9. liverpond 1st

    Chelsea 2nd

    Arsenal 3rd

    Villa 4th
