he somehow managed to not use the talent of o'driscoll and held his hands up as being the sole reason why ireland underperformed at the world cup(poor preparation etc).hes screwed up one of the best ever irish teams and hasn't blooded enough young players.hes a stubborn b;;astard and refuses to admit mistakes.he has his good points but his inadequacy has been proven.whos with me? oh, and fair play to wales on winning the grand slam

  1. eddie may be gone now, but you obviously either dont support your country or you just dont know anything.

its people like you why the team are under sooo much unecceacary pressure, something they do much much better without. look at the last 8 years of rugby of ireland and look at what eddie has created. he created the "golden generation"  and i believe the best is yet to come from the likes of fitzgerald, redden and kearney. he hasnt screwed up. you have are talking about 8 months of poor performing, in comparison to 8 years of absolute genius. leave him alone and h**l do his job

  2. Yes, we just won the Grand Slam!!! One point I would make though is Stringer should have been brought on in place of Reddan!! Stringer is a better player. You are also missing Brian O'Driscoll , O'Darcy, Girvan Dempsey and Murphy went off injured!! All your best players!!!!!!! Ronan can't take the place of Brian O' Driscoll!!!!!! He gets too wound up!!!

  3. You could have Owen Finnegan on the staff.  After he has finished with the ACT Brumbies

  4. Quite simply, yes he has to go. Eddie didn't 'create' this golden generation, he inherited it from Gatland who had the balls to try new players. Eddie has screwed up this team. He has instilled fear into the team and has persisted with out of form players completely. Please, don't anybody mention the triple crowns as they mean nothing. This year Ireland on paper and by rights had one of the best teams in the competitions. We lost to a French team that had a load of kids on for half the match (the half we played well in,) an English team that was again mostly youthful and a Welsh team who, and I mean no disrespect, not that great. Why Wales won the grand slam was the exact opposite of what Ireland needed. Wales were drilled into an impenetrable defence and were given confidence despite not having a World class team. Don't get me wrong some of their players are world class eg Hook and Williams but in terms of the tight five, they're not that great. So what's the difference between us and Wales? The coaches. Gatland has given a good Welsh team a lot of confidence whereas Eddie has given an Irish team which had the potential to be world class nothing but comfort and complacency. That is why Eddie needs to go and 4 more years of him will spell the end for Irish rugby. Also congratulations Wales.

  5. The IRFU made a fatal mistake when they gave him a new contract PRIOR to the World Cup, hopefully he will do the dignified thing and resign but he completes ruins what could still be a very capable team.

  6. Eddie's time is up,  for the sake of Irish Rugby he has to walk, a replacement ? Start looking down under for a new coach, plenty of talent that will gladly come over for the money.

  7. yeah
