Honestly. If everyone had to wait tables for one day in their lives, they would realize the BS servers have to put up with sometimes. And then maybe treat them a little better!!! GRRRR!

  1. i would never do that job. i'm very friendly to the waitstaff. but aren't bad customers part of the job? I know a lot of servers and all they do is complain about the petty things they have to put up with. There are a lot more challenging jobs. You gotta realize most of the people who are a******s to the waitstaff just have problems and the same people p**s of people in other fields of customer service.

  2. I believe everyone should.  I treat my servers with the utmost respect and courtesy, and I am not always given good service in return.  It's obvious which servers understand that gratuity is a function of how happy the customer is with their service that evening, and which servers do not.

  3. Absolutely, 100%. People seem to ignore the basic rules of how to behave and conduct themselves.

Customers at restaurants often think it's okay to be loud, rude and demanding to servers. They think that they are entitled to free this-and-that for ridiculous reasons (like not liking the food they ate most of).

If everyone was a server for a day, they would understand that servers are people too, who LIVE OFF TIPS, and work darn hard to get them!

  4. I agree. People think it's the easiest thing ever and that they should be your one and only priority and don't notice the 5 other tables you have or the baby spilling drinks.  I wish everyone would try it once, then they may have a very different perspective!

  5. I do, always thought being a waitress would be cool until I got in HS and did it for a while. It sucked, but now I have a higher standard for waitress.

  6. well anyone that deals with customer service in the food industry  understands. I seem to find it's employees that don't understand how to balance the load and get overwhelmed that make the situation worse for everyone involved.

  7. No I don't but then again, if you don't like your job..find another one.

  8. Yeah man!
