Who thinks golf is the most boring sport ever?

I'm sure that you've never played Golf.

Golf is a game of kings, it is very entertainment and also works to be relax and to think better. Playing Golf is not boring at all.

I don't like Golf, I love it!

I seriously invite you to play it, I've many friends that they said the same thing, 'that's boring man, let's better go swimming or weight lifting' after I invited them, 7 of my friends now are in the club playing with me. Most of who said 'it's boring' now they call me to go play it.

P.S. #1 If you play it, I hope you do it, tell me how do you feel when you do your first par :>

Golf is fun to play and sometimes fun to watch, but in general it is EXTREMELY boring to watch. I play a lot of golf, but I don't watch it much because of the boredom factor. The best way to watch golf is a highlights reel of the the great shots. Other than that its like 5 hours of watching paint dry. The pro's take forever to hit a shot, unless is is LPGA golf then I don't mind staring at the pro's - cause some of them are cute!!!

i used to think it was sooo sooo boring! and my daddy would watch it on television almost everyday and i would get soo sick of it! i also thought it WAS the most boring sport ever! but then i picked up golf and after playing it for about a year, it's not that bad. and because i play it, watching it also gets more interesting, but i must admit they practise their swings sooo many times!

okay, i used to think the same thing, untill i realised that you cant just say some sport that someone else plays is boring, because thats your opinion, and your opinion doesn't matter to anyone else, because the person who likes golf, could probably think that the sport that you like the most is the most boring sport in the world too...

have an enjoyment for the game.

respect the pros in that sport.

I agree with the person above me. You can't judge the sport based on just watching it  on TV. It's nice it watch if Tiger is playing or if Adam Scott's playing (he's hot), but that's about it. Playing it yourself, however, is awesome. It's an extremely challenging sport. If you tried it, you might actually like it.

Anything or sport is boring if you don't know anything about it.  Most Americans find soccer boring, but 90% of the world would disagree!

Knowing about a sport and/or playing the sport gives one a different perspective when watching.  As a kid, I couldn't stand watching golf with my dad.....how boring watching people hit a little white ball....dull!

But since I've learned to play, my appreciation for golf's difficulties has changed.  Now, I appreciate the skills of professional golfers & I can identify with them much more.

Your perspective & interest of a sport is in direct corelation with your personal knowledge of that sport.

It can be pretty boring, I must agree.  That's why it's important to have figures like Tiger, John Daly, Vijay Singh, Mickelson, Sabbatini, etc., to try and liven things up a bit.  I think it's like this in all sports.  If there are no rivalries or stars...then there's no show or entertainment!
