Darius Michelzchewski was going to fight Sven Ottke in Germany. . . due to low ticket sales, the fight was called off.  

Fenech and Nelson (both deservedly Hall of Famers, and great, great men) should, in my opinion, stay involved in boxing by training others, speaking engagements, promoting, and signing autographs.  I think only bad things will come from them actually FIGHTING each other again.  

Roy fighting Tito was ridiculed for "not mattering".  What kind of press with THIS get?

Fenech is 44 years old, and he is asking for trouble.  Middle aged boxers tend to end up seriously injured later in life with any number of brain injury.  Boxing is a young mans sport, Jeff should find an easier way to make a living.

i heard this a few weeks ago that he is getting ready to fight samart payakaroon, who he beat in 4 rounds in '87 for the jr featherweight title.

fenech hasn't fought since '96 and payakaroon hasn't boxed since '94, although i believe he is still an active muai thai competitor.

neither has anything to prove if they do get it on again.

Apparantly he has been in serious training and has lost 16kg. He is 44 in May and hasn't fought since 1996 when he lost a fight for the IBF lightweight title by TKO in 2. He was signed to train Tyson in his last comeback and is supposed to own a sporting brand in Australia, but last year pleaded guilty to stealing 3 watches worth Aus$300. I'm not sure what he's hoping to achive coming back at his age but maybe he needs the money. If it's for the glory then he could probably win an Australian or Oceania championship if he has anything left and then retire.

Jeff Fenech is fighting Azumah Nelson so hes fighting someone his own age - i don't know his motives, but Jeff does not need the money - i loved Jeff Fenech as a fighter so good luck to him
