it definitely caters to people who prefer the finer things in life.  i drink jack daniels myself, prefer whiskey.  not too big into scotch.  for s**z and giggles, i picked up a bottle of jw blue en route to rio de janeiro.  started the bottle in dubai, had a few sips in paris, then when i got to rio i added a serious amount of coke to the mix....not the soda....and can honestly say for that 2 week period i was on top of the world.  finished the bottle in buenos aires, it was really cold outside when i was there, so it was nice to have that bottle to keep me warm, along with a lovely argentinain gal.  having it definitely raised a few eyebrows on my trip, great bottle to have around friends and a way to break ice with new friends.  nice to sip on.

It's way over priced.  If you want a smooth blend, you can get JW green or gold at a much better price.  Personally, I like single malts.
