  1. Absolutely not. When we start controlling what people are allowed to say... it will be a dark day for America. Do you really want Big Brother screening you, saying "Oh no, that's not true. Off to jail with you!"?

    On a criminal basis, it's called criminal slander or bullying or harassment.

  4. Eric H already answered your question, almost.  I just want to add that you must also prove what you are accusing another of doing to you or what they have done to your reputation.  You need proof before you can take them to court.
