  1. When you are an independent taxpayer and contribute, THEN you should have the option to vote (if you so desire).

  2. OMG!  No, I don't agree.

  3. Here it is on a platter. People who vote should be younger than the people of whom they cast a vote for.

McCain would lose half is votes.

  4. There is a big difference between "maturity" and "being left to make your own decisions by parents who are more interested in driving SUVs and downloading iTunes."

This generation of teens is no less opinionated and no more worldly than any other...the only difference is that the sense of entitlement that used to be called "the self-centeredness of youth" is now called "mainstream."

  5. Face it, kids are going to vote for whoever promises them the most toys. That's the end of democracy as described 2000 years ago by Aristotle who saw this mess in action.

  6. even if they are lazy.. they have the right to vote for someone who will let them be lazy

don't be so d**n selfish, your opinion doesn't mean $hit to anyone anyway... dont rag on people for having their own opinions

maybe they think stupid liberals who propose voting to minors are dumb fuks

  7. Minors do get a chance to vote. It happens when they turn 18 and have a chance to enjoy most freedoms.

    Practice on school government first.

  8. "...not all of us should are what you think. ..." ?

    "...Vis versa ..."      ?

"...the are a waste of voting people.."   ?

    "...desserving minors.."  ?

    "..sytym..."  ?

Just stay in school, and don't worry about voting right now.  Learn how to spell, and learn when phrases such as "vice versa" apply.

No, minors shouldn't vote, for obvious reasons....

  9. definately! at least lower to 16.

  10. I definitely agree. Some minors make better decisions than some adults anyway.

  11. who cares, votes are meaningless anyways. the electoral college makes the real vote

  12. Personally, I feel that minors should have the opportunity to vote. If they are above the age of 15. I find that many teenagers of this age have reached a level of maturity and are well informed about the issue. Also, they will grow up into the country and have an active roll in it. Shouldn't they have the oppurtunity to decide who it wil be run by and how? There are many adults that vote just to vote I feel that if you have no preference and are not informed of the issues or the candidates then do not vote, make educated decisions. For it is a decision which will impact yourself and everyone around you.

  13. Raise the age to 21. It's easy to get the young to drink the Kool-aid that adults may not.

  14. Why?

Young people, as a rule, do not vote. In the last 4 Presidential elections an average of 12% of the voters 18-21 voted. The percentage is even less for midterm, state, and local elections.

Why do you want more rights when you don't use the one you have?
