you dont have to spend money, there are alot of church groups that have donated dresses.  If you have that idea now than I suggest that you stay home or .... open a dress shop.  lol

it may have lost some of its meaning in these recent years and while some businesses do take advantage of Prom, I don't think it is a scam, I mean its probably the biggest time of the year for Tuxedo's and so you can't blame them for trying to make a buck, without them doing that they might not be there for next years class

you get all dressed up fancy style, have a kick *** time, and it's something you remember down the road.

how many times do you get to do that once you've left high school?
