Who thinks ska music sucks? ?

I for one think this music is terrible!!!

I haven't explored the genre actually,and I've no idea what it's like,but when you say that all ska music sounds the same,you sound like you are talking out of your ***,don't take any offense please.We shouldn't quickly jump into conclusions about things in general,before looking a bit more deeply into them.

I don't base my opinion of music off Genres,I base it off Bands.

But I'm not saying I enjoy all genres Equal, because different Genres have different sounds and bands that I enjoy more then others.

ummm you suck. i mean there is some sh**ty "ska" out there, but its not real ska anyway, its pop-punk-ska. real ska is awesome.

edit- i dont really think of goldfinger as pop-punk-ska, just punk-ska...

It's unfortunate that you don't like ska and crazy that you don't notice the difference between any ska bands. What ska bands have you listened to? I'm sure you've only been exposed to third wave bands.

I love real ska from Jamaica.

Early recordings by Don Drummond, Lloyd Brevitt, Roland Alphonso, Jimmy Cliff, Justin Hinds, Toots, etc.

Some people play pop-punk and call it ska but it has nothing to do with the real thing.

There are young bands that at least try to play something like the original sound. I think some of it is fun to listen to, but I'd rather hear the original.
