That's what they used to do. It seems way more fair then their crazy tie-breaker...

  1. Why would they give two.  One girl had a higher score than the other.

  2. it was sooo stupid...

  3. I do. The tie breaker rule was stupid.

  4. ya I agree , there should be able to be a tie, it would make the comp fair but I think the chinese girl who came in third should have won gold. in some ways of course

  5. Liukin deserves a gold, they should have awarded two gold medals. Team China and Team USA both had great performance. I am not an expert in Gymnastics, but I do know that landing is not the only determine factor here, difficulty and execution also counts.

  6. It is what it is! The rule is equal to every athlete. If you have the problem with the rule, complain it before hand, not after you lost!

  7. Liukin did better anyway, the least they could do would be give two golds

  8. Yes, but as we saw with the Phelps 1/100 win, we must let the computers decide. In the old days, it probably would have been more likely. Precision has its disadvantages.

  9. I still do not get what the heck they did. I do think they should have given them both a gold medal. Most definitely.

  10. i do.. or they should go head to head for the tie breaker.. like in any other sport  where they have overtime or they compete to break the tie..

  11. Even a blind man could see that Nastia Liukin was robbed.  ( o _ 0 )  Nastia and He were tied for crying out loud.  You know what?  The  IOC sucks!  They should have prepared for a scenario like this;  "In the event of a tie, both gymnasts will receive gold."  I mean how difficult is that?  The IOC and it's judges are the "real slim shadys."

  12. We must all play by the rules in everything we do. The same goes for the Olympic Athletes.

The rules were followed. The judgment was fair.

  13. i guess....

  14. Yeah at the least it would stop the repetitive whining.
