Who thinks that Sarah Palin has an excellent chance of taking on this role (at least once) if she becomes VP?

If she becomes Vice President, I could see Sarah Palin being the Acting President Of The United States at least once. McCain is a man who has had 4 bouts with cancer, and could easily have to go under the knife once over the next 4 years. If that happens, Palin would be acting-Pres.

and she would certainly be more qualified than obama.

And Obama could be assassinated...let's not delve on possibilities, even young people die prematurely & old, sick people can live beyond their predicted years. Anything can happen.
