The issue I have with the American lottery is that out of greed they keep making the odds worse and worse to create bigger jackpots.  This sells more tickets, but the odds of winning are just stupidly small.  Both major lotteries now have odds worse than 150,000,000-1.

I also have a problem with the fact that the prize they advertise is not real.  First the government takes a bunch of tax, which frankly they should extract on the front end, not the back end.  And secondly if you actually want the money you've won, they take at least a third off as a penalty.  So it's like they lie about the prize and then the government tax you too.

So yeah, it's a bit c**p.

Yeh its stupid, all it does is make the odd person become un-justly rich, and then they spend it, i jate it...

Its really stupid.  Save your money and put it in a mutual fund...pay off your bills first.

Yes, I do-- I used to play it now & then , but never won, so I quit

playing it & have paid off some bills & feel So Much Better now.
