Who thinks that the Harry Potter film series went downhill after The Prisoner Of Azkaban?

After TPOA, all of the Harry Potter movies after that bored me to tears and I finally lost interest in the fim franchise. I didn't think they were a patch on the previous fims. And I don't know whether this is true or not, but after TPOA, the actors seemed to get a bit cocky I think, who else thinks this?

Not me, lol! Those movies are almost better than Pirates of the Caribbean lol! Those movies are awesome. I love them. The books, of course, are better but the movies are great. The only actor I like more than Daniel Radcliffe is Johnny Depp and that's because Johnny Depp is an amazingly awesome actor and no one will top him but Harry Potter movies are great!

I agree With you after TPOA it felt like they were leaving more and more things out and changing the story more but that is just my opinion.

I agree that TPOA is the best movie of all HPs.  The plots, and special effects were great, but some of the acting really got bad.  Even in the third movie the new Dumbledore was definately not as good, and Hermione especially got annoying.

I think it went down after the first movie was released.  Daniel Radcliffe freaks me out...I saw picture of him naked on a unicorn...I haven't been able to look at him the same since...

I have read all the books and none of the movies come close to being as good. But I watch them anyway. I was really disappointed when I found out that the next movie was being delayed.

I  agree. Hermione becomes so annoying, and she doesn't seem like the same hermione in the first 2, i think it's because she talks rather funnily. So hermione is a big factor in it for me. Also, it becomes more in tune with the muggle world, especially in OOTP when they wear converse :S. the first 2 films were the best i feel, and the others should be more like them. the new dumbledore isn't as good as the old one as well :(

the first 2 films feel more like Hogwarts and more Harry Potter than the others !

No, the last two films are awesome! Though they have drifted very far from the 'child' audience and themes that the first films targetted. They are much more adult films now. LOL this doesn't bother me though, I'm not a child.

The end of the Order of the Phoenix was a bit of an anti-climax (felt kind of like a 'to be continued' film, like Matrix:Reloaded, or Lord of the Rings:Two Towers), but like those two films, its still very good.

Well, I think I still know the first and second movie all by heart, but since PoA came out, I started to calm down with the movies. When i watch HP movies now, I never pick the latest 3. OOTP was really, really, boring, PoA was a mess. The actors, it seems like they are only there for the money =P (it's seems a reasonable view =P)

So yes I agree with your opinion.

But anyways, the books are better.

I think the complete opposite. the first two movies were great then POA the worst. GOF is quite good, then OOTP is great too. I think that the next three movies will be great too since I ranked them according to the director not the actors, who are faultless except for one thing that they will be too old for their roles, still say they, the actors and the movies, will be great or I hope so.

i agree, i don't think the last few movies have been as good, but you have to realize that the books are getting bigger and bigger.  the first two were small and they could fit everything into a movie.  but the later books are much bigger, and they have to cut a lot out to be able to fit it into a movie.

as for your second question, i don't think the actors are getting that cocky.  i mean harry potter is huge in a bunch of different countries, its hard not to let that go to your head.

Nah, I liked HP4 & 5 I especially liked HP4 Barty Crouch Jnr is HOT!!!! I've watched every HP movie like 10 times and I get a bit sick of them but not that much.

Prisoner of Azkaban was horrible, but I'm very happy with the rest of the movies.

Personally, the 3rd was my favorite book and the movie just disappointed me.

I think the complete opposite! Sorry if this dissapoints you, but I though for one thing, the acting got better, If you compare Dan as Harry in the first film, then how he is now in 4 & 5 it's better, along with some other stars.

My fave film is between GOF/Ootp(4/5) since the visuals and storylines have still kept me hooked!

I disagree. There are definitely distinctions between the first 3 films and the ones that followed, but its because the characters are growing up and are facing different challenges. It was more 'kiddy' at the beginning of the franchise, but I've enjoyed how it has developed. I personally enjoyed the later films just as much... but each to their own :)
