Who thinks that the MLB should change the 5-7-7 playoff format?

Would't it make more sence to have a 7-7-7? In baseball, anything can happen in a 5 game series. 7 game series are a better indication of the best team. Baseball is currently the only sport to have a playoffs where rounds have diffeent numbers of games. After all the work that it takes to reach the playoffs, I think the teams could handle another 2 games to make it fair.

another 2 games translates to another 4-5 days in terms of length for the postseason. Do you really want to see baseball players playing the World Series around thanksgiving?? its too friggen cold in most of this country to have a 21 playoff game system..

No, I think it's fine the way it is.  With the way they do the playoffs as it isit takes far too long.

if it goes to a 7-7-7 then the better team will win more often.But as the first guy said it would stretch out into november and we realy dont want to see that

im actually going to disagree with EVERYBODY in that i love to watch baseball, i think that that format would be great for true fans, ratings, drama, rivalrys and so on but i complelely agree in that anything can happen in 5 games and why not push 2 more, i definetlyu disagree with the guy that said that as soon as football starts people stop watching baseball, well obviously that guy doesnt pay attention to tv ratings at all or he would see that they are huge especially in october, great idea!

I feel that baseball goes on to long anyways, but if your going to Go to 7-7-7 Then you should start the playoffs in August OR September, Besides as soon as Football starts most people stop watching baseball anyways

I like it the way it is.  How would adding another 2 games make it fair to the teams?   If a team can't win a 5 game series, how can they win a 7 game series.  I like baseball but wouldn't that stretch the season about another week.
