Who thinks that the obstruction rule is carp?

and is the vidieo ref taking to long to decied that it is a try or no try, and as for the obstruction rule if the player that was to be creating the obstruction did not draw in any players why do they still get panalised, they other team then has a hole there which would make the game faster rite, go the COWBOYS

  1. It's not the rule that is the problem. It's what they call "the referee's discretion and interpretation". Each has their own which leads to much inconsistency when ruling on obstruction plays. Without it there would be more situations created that referee's would have to end up ruling on.

    As for the video referee's, I agree there are times that they seem to take forever. But we as fans screamed for it to lessen the human error factor so I guess we are stuck with it. With that said some tries are deceiving and need to be looked at from a few different angles. All in all I don't mind too much.

  4. no i think that there needs to be policing on the whole obstruction situation, currently what is lacking is a clear and defined rules and regulations telling both the players and referees and the viewing public what is acceptable and what is not.

    I think that without policing obstructions rulling then players would exploit the situation and take out opposition players to create holes for the ball runners to go through... anyway thats my thought
