I hate that since the Jonas brothers have promise rings all these girls are getting just because they have them...they should get them because they really want to make the promise of staying a virgin till mariage

I agree with you. I'd say a lot, if not most, girls just do it because the brothers wear them, not because they (the girls) want to keep that promise. I think a better question would be, are the brothers responsible for making promise rings less meaningful, because of the influence they have over so many girls? I don't think so. I think a lot of girls just don't understand the whole point of wearing a promise ring. I think they've made it into a fashion trend instead of a statement, and that shouldn't happen. It goes against the message the brothers are trying to spread.

how do you know they are just doing it because of JB? maybe they just weren't aware..i wasn't aware of promise rings when i was that age..i wish i had been!
