I personally think people should wait.. this is the first mobile phone package that apple have done. My brother is huge on apple, but for a mobile phone, uh not me. For starters I use to have a pocket pc.. and after the novalty of this iphone wears off, I reckon most people will get sick of the touch screen. Especially if you have always had like a Nokia or what not and your use to dialing traditionally. Atleast that is what happen with me. And the advantage of the bigger screen is that you can view pictures bigger etc. But really, how often do we take pics with our camera phone? and video? I have an expensive 3ccd camcorder and about to upgrade to high def camcorder, so after being spoilt in that, the iphone or phone period is a bit irevalant! And me personally, I dont want to have an ipod in my phone. I have the nokie E65 and it has built in wifi/ music player etc.. but I dont use it. I have a seperate ipod that i use when i go to the gym or walking/jogging... i wouldnt want to carry my iphone if i bought one around fearing that i would drop it. The battery on the iphone goes then you have to send it in to an expensive apple repairer to get a new battery... Anyone who has apple ipod.. will know exactly what I mean.. might as well go with a different brand... Apple have a good setup to make more money off you.

Me personally I am not even interested in the Blackberry... too big.. unless your in business and you want to carry your whole clientele in it... To me Iphone is overrated.. But my aunt has one and my mom wants one... But Id rather her get something else... or wait for something better to come out. Plus the iphone only has a 2.0 camera.. whats up with that? Nokia N95 seems a lot better option... you have everything else really and you can send mms pics, where iphone you cant... Just seems like such big hype over this phone just because you can flip things around to see what music you want to listen to... i can buy a better ipod if i want that..

So my over all opinion is its a provider of music and a fancy way to listen or select it.. and maybe the video.. havent heard much about the video.. but only 2.0 mg camera you cant even say that thats a feature for the fact that my phone of 2-3 years ago has that lol.... Nokia N95 thats been out for a bit now has 5mgp... But really... if your looking to buy a iphone.. maybe look at the practibility of it.... probably be one of those phones you play with for a month or so max.. and then your sick of it or over it and wishing you would of went with a cheaper and better MOBILE PHONE lol...

  1. im sorry but ive used the iphone lots of times and the internet on my old sanyo katana 1 had faster internet.

the iphone is a great phone though; only if your a business man and or love music.

but thats wat they invented the ipod touch for

i suggest you get a phone with a full keyboard such as a sidekick[CHEAPER PLAN ALSO]

  2. I think I agree with you.  I live in Canada and we just got the iphones here. My friend rushed out to get it and he brought it in to show us.  As a construction worker the iphone is totally useless to me.  I'll never use the camera, never use the mp3 player, and the access to the internet is definately not worth the costs.  Plus it would get destroyed in my work environment.  And there is no way im moving my whole music library from my old ipod to the iphone.  I say Nokia all the way!

  3. The majority of people who buy an iphone do not compare it to other phones. The majority of people probably couldnt tell you a single thing about the nokia n95 other then apple used it to compare the 3g internet browser speed (which they misled of course).

People buy into advertising. Its amazing to hear how many people actually quote the commercials "the iphone is a revolutionary device". When asked whats revolutionary about it they say "well its an ipod, internet, and phone in one!" The issue is that the iphone doesnt do any of those things well.

You said that its a fancy way to watch or listen to music/video, and if you compare the file format support is has compared to 80% of other phones, it has a weak multimedia player. It cannot play the two most popular video formats (avi, wmv), and it cannot play quality music formats (wma).

No one can replace a camcorder with a phone.. this will never happen, but its nice to be able to simply whip out the camera phone and record video.. who knows when a fight will break out, or a shootout will take place.

Its funny that people say they want a touchscreen phone. I think these people just think its neat, and youre exactly right, touchscreens are terrible for 90% of the things you do on your phone. texting on a touchscreen is exactly like trying to type on your gps system.. SUCKS!

However, there are some people who buy an iphone just for kicks. These people are all the same:

*They have at least 4 high end phones less then a year old sitting in a desk drawer.

*They know exactly what they are getting and will never ask a question about it.

*They refuse to buy protective accessories for it.

*They have all owned/own a nokia n95 and nokia n82

*They all keep phones for 3 months before they buy another.

*If they do keep phones for more then 3 months, its because no cell manufacturer has released a new phone.
