The pride and passion displayed by the rugby boys made me think what overpaid prima donnas the england internationals are. What lessons can football learn from rugby?

I have to say i love football and enjoy a good game, but I'm disillusioned with our national side.

  1. Well the Players could start by learning the words to your Anthem!!!! then respect for the officials. THAT decision last night would have seen a TEAM of certain Football teams surrounding the ref !!!

  2. The english soccer side already has boring down to a fine form so doubt the rugby boys can teach them much

  3. Not only the team but the fans.

  4. rugby really needs to stop comparing itself with football, all this they showed passion, they arent over paid prima donnas, theyre real men, even tho thats a bunch of c**p the simple fact is rugby is *****  and football is the best game in the world, dont believe me? look at the gates at rugby union games, its not even the most popular rugby game let alone sport.

if i wanted to watch public school boys shoving theyre heads up each other behinds id download g*y p**n.

  5. What how to lose? they can do that without any outside help.☼

  6. Not just the football team, if all the people who live in this Sceptred Isle lived by the same standards this would truly be Great Britain

  7. The difference between the rugby world cup and the football world cup is that there are only five countries who are actually capable of winning the rugby world cup, therefore it is not so much of an achievement to make it to the final. That's not to say that England didn't do well, they did and I am very proud of them but it's just plain wrong to assume that the English footballers have no pride or passion because they play on a far bigger stage.

The FA have a lot to answer for because they appointed a week manager in a blind panic after their first choice backed out because of adverse publicity.

  8. I agree with you.

There is little obvious dedication or determination visible in the way the England football team perform, in my opinion. They always give me the impression that they don't want to be there and that representing their country is an inconvenient chore to them.

Two world cup final appearences in a row for England rugby is nothing to be ashamed of even if one resulted in a loss. That is still the stuff of dreams for the overpaid nancy boys on the football pitch.

  9. yup these guys play for queen and country and not pounds, they put their bodies on the line and lead somewhat normal lives off the field

  10. You are so right. I recon some minor rule changes might bring the soccer players back to earth. 10 yards nearer the goal for talking back or dissent could be a start. Use of video for decisive refereeing. There are others but these will do for now.

I to love football and was at one time a local referee but the attitudes sickened me so much that I gave it up.
