i thought state of origin was great i live in Melbourne and watched the game at the telstra dome. it was good to see a game not recognized by many down here in Victoria. it did very well in my eyes. and only made the Melbourne storm more popular. I'm not sure if the state of origin was like before because to tell you the truth it was my first state of origin i have seen. but i am glad QLD won!

No he means NRL (National Rugby League, its an Australian thing) State of Origin series, kind of like an All-Star game series.

As to the original question, it is still just as passionate amongst the blues and maroons fans as it ever was, in fact I think it is only getting bigger.

Watching tonights game, I thought that it's time some young talent was brought in.

Compared to the Origin of old there seems to be passion lacking.

I have to agree with the first answer, I think that both teams go out there and play hard , It is fantastic to watch and keeps the fans on the edge of their seat through out the entire game... And i believe that it has and will continue to get better....

It's a lot quicker, but just as hard and the fans are just as passionate!
