This car/motorcycle is awesome and it can get 300 something miles in a hybrid version..buy? Or massive fail?

Shhhhhhhh!  The more people know about this, the longer the list for pre-registration is going to be.  I'm a flytheroad club member, waiting to pony up my $1,000.  BTW, latest calculations are only 100 mpg, and that may drop to 80 by production time in 2010.  

Dana 1981, yes it's only a two-seater, but I have never run out of room to put my groceries in my Miata.

I think the VentureOne is a very innovative vehicle.  It looks like a ton of fun to drive.  It will also have both a gas-electric hybrid (100 mpg, $18k) and fully electric ($23k), 100+ mph top speed, loads of safety features, etc.

I'd definitely consider buying one.  The only problem is that it's a 2 seater vehicle with little storage space, so it's hard to make it a primary vehicle, and the price tag is a bit high for a secondary vehicle.

Wow, at first glance this looks really cool!  I think it would be for a select group of people and it could find a niche.  I wouldn't buy this until thoroughly researched and test-driven.  Nice concept, though!

Good luck to them.  Thus far there is nothing at all to buy: they say they'll be selling them in 2010, but it would be interesting to see what they said three years ago.  

There are other such electric tricycles; one of them got into trouble with Massachusetts, which wouldn't license them as either cars or bikes.  This can be overcome easily enough, and I do hope they turn out to be practical, but the record of such schemes isn't very good thus far.
