  1. I think it's very unlikely, world leaders are smart enough to think ahead and foresee what actions will lead to what.

  2. It's a possibility, sure, but I highly doubt it. We managed to keep the Cold War from becoming "hot" for decades. The fact that Russia has a formidable military and is a nuclear power will likely detour any full blow war between the U.S. and Russia. However, I do think we should nip this type of behavior in the butt before it goes out of control. What if this is just the beginning. Ukraine, Latvia, Belarus, Estonia, Lithuania etc... these countries could all be next in line. And we should be asking ourselves why is Russia doing this? How does it benefit them? It is all for power. Putin (and it is Putin, not president Medvedev) basically has full control of Russia, and he wants to rebuild the Soviet Empire. The best thing the U.S. and allies can do is be strong, use diplomacy, and if all else fails, military intervention. Georgia, and other Soviet Republics, is a pro-American democracy. We cannot afford to loose the progress we've made since the end of the Cold War.

  3. ya know, i think there is going to be a WW III and its going to be a nuclear one. but i do like the middle eastern theory that the nuclear bomb and missile was sooooo 20th century. i have no idea what its going to be next. maybe like plasma and stuff...

  4. The US has no leverage over Russia.  It can and should do what it needs to do.  The US and NATO keep threatening with missile shields and local countries holding NATO and US troops and Pro-American puppet governments like the one in Georgia.  He said it himself he and his country get a lot of help from the US.

Good for Russia, someone has got to step up to challenge the US and it's agenda for global domination.  Hopefully China will help them.

  5. Very possible . specially if bush dont stop demanding they do something . he better shut his mouth . it will be ww3

  6. I believe that a perceived threat of it really happening would be all that was necessary for Russia to stop. Like Hitler and Stalin, they tested the waters to see how others would react. Then when they found the rest of the continent was too cowardly, and the US too short sighted, they then turned up the heat.

This is just the beginning, but the US and Europe will let it happen.

Look at it like this. Germany- n***s and communists out number the socialists who would sell their soul for a moments peace and a welfare check.

    France - 40% Communist 40% Socialist and 20% Radical Muslim. 100% cowards.

    Spain- 99% Socialist and Muslim

    Italy - LOL

What are you going to do?

  7. Doubt it, I don't think taxpayers will be willing to fund another war effort, while we still have one going on in the Middle East.

So to answer your question it is a possibility in the future but for the present. I highly doubt it.

It will most likely turn out to be some sought of proxy war.

  8. That will never happen. Russia is a nuclear armed nation that possesses military capabilities more or less on par with those of the U.S. The U.S would never risk the possibility of its own destruction over an  obscure and expandable country like Georgia.

  9. With what?

All our troops are currently tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We could play that whole Navy/Air Force game; but both countries are too strong to be taken down by the other side's Air Force and/or Navy.

Russia is good, but not good enough to invade us.  And we don't have the troops to even go playing around in Georgia, much less actually present a threat to Russia.

We won't be going to war with them anytime soon.  And if we do, its just dead soldiers and civilians with no chance of advancement.  And while the politicians on both sides might just be stupid enough to do that, it won't be a very long or drawn out conflict.

Anger from the civilian population of both countries would end any real fighting before it got to be anything really dangerous.

  10. nope

  11. I think that it'll probably be over soon, before the US feels the need to get involved.  The Russians hugely outnumber the Georgians.

  12. nope.
