Who thought of eating eggs?

It´s really weird if you think about it. did some one just say ¨see that hen there? I´m gonna fry and eat the first thing that comes out of it!¨ and it just happened to be an egg, he liked it and told all his friends about it. . .

and don´t say because they taste good! that´s not an answer, and it´s just selfish like saying why would you kill your mom? cuz it´s fun. . . no no no! doesn´t anyone know the origin of it?? sides the product of a hens menstrual cycle isn´t that good to eat anyway. . .is it?

Not nearly so weird as the person who first decided to try eating brussell sprouts - somehow decided they tasted good, and continued eating them, and then strangest of all -convinced others to do the same.

Primitive man probably ate just about anything that was not moving too fast. There were no chickens, so they took the first egg they found, probably an ostrich egg.Eggs did not require hunting, unlike mammoth, bear, or deer.

Eggs are a good source of protein, necessary to the body for muscle movement to make hunters stronger and more agile.

The first eggs were probably eaten raw (yuck). Then would naturally come cooked eggs.... perhaps someone dropped an egg into the fire, and it cooked. Someone got the idea of preserving eggs by boiling them, so they could carry eggs with them on their forays into the wild.

It's way older than lizards. Many fish time their breeding cycle to the availability of corral polyp eggs.

Good question. There are a lot of weird things that people eat, which I wouldn't touch, that I wonder about.

I always wondered the same thing....but in my imagination it went more like this.."Hey, what the h**l just came out of that chickens butt?...lets eat it!"

but a likely reason for his decision to eat it would be that he saw some other animal eating one and decided it couldn't be too bad or a least it wasn't lethal
