  1. it was ridiculously unfair

  2. Yes, I truly believed that Alicia Sacramone deserved a medal. After falling twice, and being publicly blamed for costing the American's gold (though mathematicians say that it was not compeletly her fault, China was amazing) Alicia got back up on her feet. I personally know what it feels like to fail your teammates, but to believe that you failed your whole country? I would want to curl up and die. But she regained her composure, and had an amazing performance. I feel terrible for her.

  3. Just watch this

  4. I agree!

  5. Ya, it was a joke. HER ONLY faults were two VERY small hops on her landings.  The chinese girl actually FELL on her knees on her last vault and gets the bronze.  The korean girl step out of bounds, slipped and then did a small hop her landing and got the GOLD! The thing to remember is the the german girl also got screwed, her routine was flawless and she gets the silver.  The only reason that they finished ahead is because of "start values", which basically means that since the had higher difficulty, they can completely mess up and still finish ahead.  It makes no sense and should be changed because the system rewarded the gymnasts that did harder vaults and screwed up, rather than gymnasts the do medium vaults and stick them perfectly.  The medals should have been German girl-Gold Alisha-Silver and Korean girl-Bronze

  6. Biased judging - no question

  7. I don't. the judges were totally unfair!

  8. OMG!  I am blogging about that very topic right now.  I was so upset when I watched it last night (recorded obviously).  There will be people who get on here and defend the judges decision but they will be WRONG just as the judges were.  Sure, I am not a scoring expert but I do know that FALLING DOWN is a .8 deduction and her hands were incorrectly placed on the vault, more deduction.  Apparently, if you are Chinese and have home team advantage, you can just run up, not follow your routine at all, and still get a medal.  Under those judges, I could've gotten a medal and I have never vaulted in my life.

This is a bit tongue in cheek but I do feel very sorry for Alicia and think the judging should be challenged.

  9. It was unfair, her performance was better but she did not get a medal.

  10. I'm reaaaallly shocked

something is not right in that scoring, even bela karolyi said that it was a rip-off

  11. I am thinking you do for sure...but, I will go with the judges on this one...they have a tad bit more knowledge on what they are judging on.

  12. I think it's unfair. And Alicia had a great vault too.

  13. She was the first one to go but every gymnast that went after her kept scoring higher then her.  That is kind of odd.

  14. yeah it was really unfair

  15. The scoring system is such that it goes on the amount of difficulty in ones vault - Alicias vault was not that difficult by judges standards hence the score she was awarded and rightly so since hers was on twist off where as the rest were on twist flips and blind landings.

  16. They used difficulty of the format as an excuse and contribution of "start values". There has to be a way to eliminate this start values due to poor execution!

The Korean went out of bounds twice and got ahead because of "start values". Cheng Fei fell on the knees but won it anyway because of "start values".

Then why not pretend or claim that you are able to do the movement difficulty at start values 9 or 10 and then skip or mess the last movement and get 7 or 8 as execution. You will win gold at 16/17 scores! Falling on your knees and still get above 15 scores anyway just like Cheng Fei.

Yes, the score was unfair and there's a loophole in the start values reduction due to poor execution.
